About the Role Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Telecommunications Engineer to join their growing team in Kansas City, Missouri . Key Responsibilities Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of robust telecommunications systems, including VoIP, data networks, and wireless solutions. Manage and mentor a team of telecommunications engineers, providing technical direction and support. Develop and implement network monitoring and troubleshooting strategies to ensure high availability and performance. Conduct thorough analysis of network performance metrics and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with other departments to integrate telecommunications systems with other IT infrastructure. Stay abreast of emerging telecommunications technologies and trends, recommending adoption where beneficial. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations, procedures, and standards. Manage vendor relationships and evaluate new technologies and services. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in telecommunications engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior capacity. Proven expertise in IP networking, VoIP protocols (SIP, H.323), and PBX systems. Experience with network security principles and implementation. Strong understanding of fiber optics, microwave transmission, and cellular technologies. Proficiency in network simulation and analysis tools. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment, balancing on-site and remote responsibilities.
