About the Role Our client, a rapidly growing engineering and planning firm, is seeking an experienced Lead Civil Project Manager to join their fully remote team. This position is crucial for overseeing a diverse portfolio of land development projects, including commercial, residential, and mixed-use communities. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional project management skills, a deep understanding of civil engineering principles (grading, drainage, utilities), and a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget. You will be responsible for managing client relationships, leading project teams, coordinating with regulatory agencies, and ensuring the technical quality of all project deliverables. Key Responsibilities Manage all phases of land development projects from initial planning and feasibility through final construction and closeout. Lead and mentor project teams of civil engineers, designers, and technicians. Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies. Ensure designs adhere to all applicable codes, standards, and regulations across Texas and local jurisdictions. Oversee the preparation of site plans, grading plans, utility designs, stormwater management systems, and permit applications. Conduct project review meetings and ensure technical quality of all engineering deliverables. Assist in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client presentations. Resolve project issues and challenges proactively and effectively. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Master's degree is a plus. Professional Engineer (PE) license required. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with at least 5 years in project management, specifically in land development. Proven experience managing large-scale commercial, residential, or mixed-use development projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and common civil engineering design software. Strong understanding of grading, drainage, utility design, stormwater management, and Texas land development regulations. Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and secure new business. Experience working with various city and county permitting agencies is essential.
