HR Generalist (Remote in Midwest) Job Summary Sweetwater Care Resource, a leading long-term care provider with over 50 skilled nursing facilities, is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team. The HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting all aspects of human resources operations, including leaves, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance across designated union and non-union facilities. We are especially interested in candidates with union and skilled nursing experience, as this background will be highly valuable in supporting our workforce. Responsibilities • Assist assigned facilities with coordinate and maintain employee records, benefits, and personnel files. • Provide guidance and support to facilities regarding company policies, procedures, and benefits. • Assist with employee relations activities, including conducting investigations, mediating conflicts, and promoting a positive work environment. • Support labor relations activities and help foster positive union-management relationships. • Assist facilities in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. • Collaborate with HR Director to develop and implement HR initiatives, programs, and best practices. Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent required; • 3–5 years of HR experience, preferably in healthcare, long-term care, or a related setting. • Union experience is strongly preferred. • Skilled nursing and/or long-term care experience strongly preferred. • Knowledge of labor relations, collective bargaining agreements, and unionized work environments is highly desirable. • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism. • Willing to travel to multiple states. • Proficiency with HRIS systems, benefits administration platforms, and Microsoft Office applications. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
