Hartline Barger LLP, a nationally recognized trial law firm specializing in civil litigation, is seeking attorneys with 4+ years of litigation experience to join our growing Houston and Dallas offices. Insurance Defense, Construction Defect and Personal Injury experience a plus.

Responsibilities:
• Manage a caseload of complex commercial litigation matters from inception through trial or settlement
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
• Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, and mediation with witness responsibility
• Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients
• Advise clients on business and legal transactions
• Negotiate settlements for legal disputes
• Comply with all legal standards and regulations
• Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law
Qualifications:
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the State Bar of Texas and in good standing
• Previous experience in a Law Firm environment
• Ability to take and defend depositions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Independently manage a caseload – from beginning to end
• Work closely with other attorneys and Partners on multitude of legal projects
• Regularly handle court appearances and depositions
• Take the lead with client communication and provide meaningful updates
• 4+ years experience with insurance defense, construction defect and personal injury preferred
