Role Description The Owner role at Monza is a part-time remote position responsible for overseeing overall business operations and strategic direction. Day-to-day tasks include guiding project pipelines, reviewing budgets and proposals, and making decisions on resource allocation and vendor relationships. The Owner will collaborate with project managers to monitor progress, ensure quality standards, and address risks or issues that may affect project timelines or client satisfaction. Responsibilities also include maintaining client relationships, supporting business development activities, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. The role requires effective remote communication, timely decision-making, and the ability to support the team while working off-site. Qualifications • Experience in construction or general contracting, with familiarity in commercial office and residential building projects. • Background in project oversight or management, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning. • Ability to understand and review scopes involving electrical, carpentry, and concrete work, including structural and architectural elements. • Strong business acumen, with skills in strategic planning, operations management, and vendor or subcontractor coordination. • Effective remote communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication and comfort with digital collaboration tools. • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships and support business development or sales initiatives. • Ability to make sound decisions under time constraints and manage multiple priorities in a part-time capacity. • Relevant experience as an owner, executive, or senior leader in construction or a related industry; formal education in construction management, engineering, or business is beneficial but not required.
