Curriculum Development Manager and Lead Training Facilitator
Location: Remote (Must reside in the National Capital Region)

We are seeking a Curriculum Development Manager andLead Training Facilitator to support a high-visibility DoD program. This role plays a critical part in developing, managing, and delivering training focused on handling active investigations, complaints, and compliance-related operational processes. You will lead curriculum strategy, certification programs, and quarterly instructor-led delivery that directly impacts mission readiness and workforce capability.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned instructional strategist and facilitator who can manage the full training lifecycle—requirements analysis, course development, onboarding programs, curriculum updates, and training effectiveness assessments—while confidently briefing leadership and guiding cross-functional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Development and Training Certification Management
• Design, develop, and maintain onboarding programs, cross-training initiatives, and curriculum updates driven by new policies, IT system changes, or mission needs.
• Create and maintain training syllabi, course guides, lesson plans, and certification materials.
• Track and maintain training records, ensuring compliance with all DoD training requirements.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts to elevate training quality, operational readiness, and contract performance.
Instructional-led Training and Course Facilitation
• Deliver quarterly instructor-led training and serve as backup facilitator across qualified curriculum areas.
• Conduct training needs assessments, evaluate participant performance, and refine content to ensure effectiveness and relevance.
• Support site-specific and agency-specific training initiatives across client organizations.
• Coordinate logistics, scheduling, communications, and materials for training events.
Training Compliance, Course Curriculum Audits andQuality Assurance
• Conduct recurring audits of training centers, training records, course rosters, learning logs, and registration workflows.
• Identify workforce skill gaps and recommend enhancements to strengthen operational capability.
• Ensure all curriculum and delivery meets quality, compliance, and documentation standards.
Training Schedule Planning and Training Coordination
• Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of monthly training schedules, onboarding timelines, and certification cycles.
• Manage training calendars, release schedules, comms blasts, and distribution of training materials.
Leadership and Collaboration
• Shape and execute a cohesive training strategy aligned with mission readiness and operational objectives.
• Collaborate with management, SMEs, and client stakeholders to design, refine, and validate training content.
• Serve as a senior advisor in curriculum development methodology, instructional standards, and training best practices.
Required Qualifications
• Active Secret clearance (required). Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Instructional Design, or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in senior training management, instructional design, or curriculum development in a government or contracting environment.
• 5+ years developing training for software/system implementations or technology adoption programs.
• 5+ years’ experience using Microsoft SharePoint
• Experience with course authoring software like Adobe Captivate and Articulate Storyline 360, Camtasia
• Experience conducting training needs assessments, gap analyses, audits, and curriculum reviews.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including facilitation and executive-level briefing experience.
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities, with proven success managing complex training schedules and multi-group coordination.
• Must reside in the National Capital Region and be able to travel up to 20% during training cycles.
• Proficiency with LMS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
