Job Description: • Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve automobile liability claims. • Review assigned claims and contact the insured and other affected parties. • Set expectations for the claim process and initiate documentation in the claim handling system. • Complete complex coverage analysis and drive fair, timely claim resolutions. • Thoroughly document and complete all claim closure activities in the assigned claims management system. • Handle moderately complex claims involving settling Total Losses and inspecting vehicles. • Determine cause of damage, establish liability, and monitor repairs. Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent • Complete ACG Claim Representative Training Program or demonstrate equivalent knowledge or experience. • In states where an Adjuster’s license is required, must be eligible to acquire a State Adjuster’s license within 90 days of hire. • A valid driver's license is required if conducting in-person inspections or frequent in-person meetings. • Two years of experience or equivalent training in negotiation of claim settlements, securing and evaluating evidence, preparing estimates, and resolving coverage questions. • Advanced knowledge of Essential Insurance Act (Michigan), Fair Trade Practices Act as it relates to claims, subrogation procedures, intercompany arbitration, and negligence law.
