About the Role Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and discreet Administrative Assistant to provide essential support to their Human Resources department. This fully remote role, based in Des Moines, Iowa , is crucial for maintaining efficient HR operations, managing employee records, and supporting various HR initiatives. Key Responsibilities Provide administrative support to HR managers and staff, including scheduling meetings and managing calendars. Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, and coordinating candidate interviews. Maintain and update employee records in the HR Information System (HRIS), ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Prepare and process HR-related documents, such as offer letters, onboarding paperwork, and employment verification forms. Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures in a timely and professional manner. Assist with the administration of employee benefits programs, including enrollment and issue resolution. Support the planning and execution of company-wide HR events and training sessions. Organize and maintain digital HR files and documentation according to company policies and legal requirements. Generate HR reports and presentations as requested by management. Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations in all administrative tasks. Requirements Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant, with a preference for experience supporting an HR department. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with HRIS platforms is a strong asset. Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. Strong understanding of confidentiality and the ability to handle sensitive employee information with discretion. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, crucial for remote interaction. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote work environment. High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is advantageous. Self-motivated and proactive with a problem-solving attitude. Experience with digital document management and virtual collaboration tools.
